MINING

Mining is the removal of valuable raw materials or other geological materials from the earth, from an ore body, vein or (coal) seam. The term also includes the removal of soil. Materials healthier by mining include base metals, precious metals, iron, uranium, coal, diamonds, limestone, oil shale, rock salt and potash. Any fabric that cannot be grown through agricultural processes, or created unnaturally in a laboratory or factory, is usually mined. Mining in a wider sense include taking away of any non-renewable resource.Mining of stone and metal has been done since pre-historic times. Modern mining processes involve prospect for ore bodies, analysis of the profit possible of a proposed mine, removal of the desired resources and finally retrieval of the land to get ready it for other uses once the mine is closed.

MINERS

A miner is a person whose work or commerce is to extract ore or minerals from the earth. Mining is one of the most hazardous trades in the world. In some countries miners lack social guarantees and in case of injury may be left to cope without help. On June 21, 1935, the Convention No. 45 was adopted by the International Labor Organization, where the Article II establishes exclusion of women work in subversive mines: "No female, whatever her age, shall be working on underground employment in any mine." The United Mine Workers of America is a North American labor union best known for representing coal miners and coal technicians. Today, the Union also represents health care workers, truck drivers, manufacturing workers and public employees in the United States and Canada. Although its main focus has always been on workers and their rights, the UMW of today also advocates for better roads, schools, and universal health care.

MINING MACHINARIES

Heavy machinery is wanted in mining for exploration and development, to remove and stockpile overburden, to break and remove rocks of various rigidity and hardiness, to process the ore and for reclamation efforts after the mine is closed. Bulldozers, drills, explosives and trucks are all necessary for dig the land. In the case of placer removal, unconsolidated gravel, or alluvium, is fed into equipment consisting of a hopper and a shaking screen or trammel which frees the desired raw materials from the waste gravel. The raw materials are then intense using sluices or jigs. Large drills are used to sink shafts, dig stops and obtain samples for analysis. Trams are used to transport miners, raw materials and waste. Lifts carry miners into and out of mines, as well as touching rock and ore out, and equipment in and out of dissident mines.

MINING IMPACT

Coal mining causes a number of damaging effects. When coal surfaces are bare, pyrite also known as fool's gold, comes in contact with irrigate and air and forms sulfuric acid. As water drains from the mine, the acid moves into the waterways, and as long as rain falls on the mine tailings the sulfuric acid manufacture continues, whether the mine is still in service or not. This process is known as acid rock drainage or acid mine drainage. If the coal is strip mined, the entire exposed seam leaches sulfuric acid, leaving the subsoil infertile on the surface and begins to pollute streams by acidifying and killing fish, plants, and water animals which are responsive to drastic pH shifts. Coal mining produces methane, a potent greenhouse gas. Methane is the naturally happening product of the decay of organic matter as coal deposits are formed with rising depths of burial, rising temperature, and rising force over geological time.

Mining Underground Mining Soft Rock Mining

Underground mining (soft rock)

Underground mining (soft rock) refer to a group of underground mining techniques used to extract coal, oil shale and other minerals or geological materials from sedimentary ("soft") rocks. Because deposits in sedimentary rocks are commonly layered and relatively less hard, the mining methods used differ from those used to mine deposits in igneous or metamorphic rocks (see Underground mining (hard rock)). Underground mining techniques also differ greatly from those of surface mining.

In underground coal mines, an environmental risk is fire. Hundreds of coal mines smolder in the United States, China, Russia, India, South Africa, and Europe.[citation needed] The inaccessibility and size of these fires make many impossible to extinguish or control.

Mining Methods

Longwall mining: Longwall mining machines consist of multiple coal shearers mounted on a series of self-advancing hydraulic ceiling supports. Almost the entire process can be automated. Longwall mining machines are about 800 feet (240 meters) in width and 5 to 10 feet (1.5 to 3 meters) tall. Longwall miners extract "panels" - rectangular blocks of coal as wide as the mining machinery and as long as 12,000 feet (3,650 meters). Massive shearers cut coal from a wall face, which falls onto a conveyor belt for removal. As a longwall miner advances along a panel, the roof behind the miner's path is allowed to collapse.

Room-and-pillar mining or continuous mining: Room and pillar mining is commonly done in flat or gently dipping bedded ores. Pillars are left in place in a regular pattern while the rooms are mined out. In many room and pillar mines, the pillars are taken out, starting at the farthest point from the mine haulage exit, retreating, and letting the roof come down upon the floor. Room and pillar methods are well adapted to mechanization, and are used in deposits such as coal, potash, phosphate, salt, oil shale, and bedded uranium ores.

Blast mining - An older practice of coal mining that uses explosives such as dynamite to break up the coal seam, after which the coal is gathered and loaded onto shuttle cars or conveyors for removal to a central loading area. This process consists of a series of operations that begins with "cutting" the coalbed so it will break easily when blasted with explosives. This type of mining accounts for less than 5% of total underground production in the U.S. today.

Shortwall mining- A coal mining method that accounts for less than 1% of deep coal production, shortwall involves the use of a continuous mining machine with moveable roof supports, similar to longwall. The continuous miner shears coal panels 150-200 feet wide and more than a half-mile long, depending on other things like the strata of the Earth and the transverse waves.

17 апреля 1958 года Постановлением ЦК КПСС и Совета Министров СССР принято решение о создании в Кременчуге завода по изготовлению большегрузных автомобилей. Производство тяжелых грузовиков было передано с Ярославского автомобильного завода.

10 апреля 1959 года из привозных узлов и деталей собраны первые два самосвала КрАЗ-222.

1961

В 1961 году завод поставил на экспорт более 500 автомобилей в 26 стран мира - Аргентину, Афганистан, Болгарию, Китай, Индию, Вьетнам и др.

1971

22 января 1971 года за досрочное выполнение пятилетнего плана и успешное освоение новых моделей грузовых автомобилей завод награжден орденом Ленина.

1976

15 января 1976 года приказом Министерства автомобильной промышленности № 17 создано производственное объединение "АвтоКрАЗ".

1979

Достигнут максимальный выпуск автомобилей на одного рабочего - 1,66 шт. Этот показатель и в последующие годы остался наивысшим среди заводов автомобильной промышленности СССР, выпускавших большегрузные автомобили.

1980

14 декабря 1980 года за оказанную помощь Вьетнаму Кременчугский завод был удостоен вьетнамского ордена Дружбы народов.

1986

В 1986 году было выпущено 30655 автомобилей КрАЗ - наибольшее количество за годы существования автомобильного завода.

1991

Руководством КрАЗа было принято решение о создании на базе экспортного отдела Внешнеторговой фирмы "КрАЗ".

1993

Завод отмечен международными наградами: Аркой Европейской Международной Звезды, Европейским призом за качество.

1994

Кременчугский автомобильный завод зарегистрирован как Открытое Акционерное Общество.

1996

Зарегистрирована Холдинговая Компания "АвтоКрАЗ".

1999

Начало приватизации. Пакет акций ХК "АвтоКрАЗ" приобретен совместным украинско-немецким предприятием "Мега-Моторс".

2002

Основан Торговый Дом ХК "АвтоКрАЗ".

2003

ХК "АвтоКрАЗ" открыла сборочные производства во Вьетнаме и России.

2004

Холдинговая Компания подписывает один из крупнейших контрактов на поставку 2200 автомобилей КрАЗ в Ирак.
На заводе введена система управления качеством международного стандарта ISO 9001:2000.

2006

В январе на главном конвейере завода собран 800000-ый автомобиль КрАЗ, а в октябре того же года по результатам рейтинга "ТОП-100. Самые динамичные компании", обнародованного издательством "Экономика", ХК "АвтоКрАЗ" по приросту чистого дохода заняла первое место среди 100 компаний Украины, показывающих наилучшие темпы экономического развития.
